Each member of senior management takes a “hands on” approach to developing unique solutions, enhancing the customer delivery experience, reducing the cost of delivery and minimizing liability exposure.
Jim Forman, Chief Executive Officer
Jim was one of the first employees of DSI and has played an integral role in the growth and success of the company. As CEO, Jim is responsible for all aspects of the company's operations and administration, including developing and executing the firm’s strategic vision. He is also responsible for managing the financial performance of the company, developing the senior leadership team, managing legal affairs, and charting our future. As the author of the company’s Core Values, Jim is committed to ensuring that the legacy of integrity, excellence and service continues to be the hallmark of the company that he helped to build.
An avid sports fan, Jim enjoys spending time on the golf course as well as watching the local Los Angeles sports teams with his family.
David Whitley, Chief Marketing Officer
David joined DSI Logistics in 2012 to lead the company’s sales and marketing effort. With more than 25 years of industry experience David brings a wealth of knowledge that has contributed to the firm’s success over the last few years. Prior to joining DSI Logistics, David held senior positions with 3PD, Affinity Logistics and Merchants Home Delivery.
David enjoys traveling, golf and professional sports. While his career included assignments all over the U.S., he remains a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and the Washington Nationals.
Jon C. Barrett, Chief Compliance Officer
Jon joined DSI Logistics in 2019 as the newly appointed Chief Compliance Officer. His primary responsibility and initiative is ensuring the Company’s compliance related to Legal, State and Federal Regulations. Jon began his career in Transportation in 1981, including 12 years with FedEx as the Senior Safety Manager. He has extensive experience in Transportation Management, Human Resources, Legal/Regulatory Affairs and Safety. Jon is an active member of the American Bar Association.
In his spare time, Jon enjoys spending time with family and riding his Indian Motorcycle and is a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan. Jon’s ultimate goal as a DSI team member is to make a positive contribution to the growth of the Company.
Rick King, Chief Operations Officer
Rick joined DSI in 2020 to become our Chief Operating Officer. He is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a business and to support internal as well as external growth initiatives for the company. Rick spent the last 27 years in the Big Box retail section with vast knowledge of Home Delivery and Installations through the clients view.
In his spare time, Rick enjoys weekends with his wife Amy and their three kids, Ryan, Alexis and Nolan as well as their vast extended family.
Monte Zwieg, Chief Financial Officer
Monte joined DSI as the Chief Financial Officer in FY2020. He is responsible for overseeing the financial function and works directly with the Senior Executive Leadership Team, including Operations, IT, Compliance, Sales and Marketing and Human Resources. Monte brings over 25 plus years of Financial experience with him dealing with public and private companies in numerous industries, including Transportation, Distribution and Logistics.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active and just being outdoors.
Jonathan Arrendale, Vice President of Operations
Jonathan joined DSI Logistics in 2000 as an Account Manager and is currently the Vice President of Operations – North Group. Jonathan’s responsibilities include overseeing all operations and services in Northern California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Prior to joining DSI Logistics, Jonathan had extensive experience in the heavy goods home delivery industry having held positions with Exel Direct and Merchants Home Delivery.
Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Washington and formerly worked as a TV news reporter. When away from work, he and his wife Theresa can be found exploring Northern California, or some other distant location. A proud father of son Alexander, Jon’s hobbies include music, movies and spending time in the great outdoors.
David Drury, Vice President of Operations
Dave joined DSI Logistics in 2002 and is the Vice President of Operations – South Group. Dave’s responsibilities include overseeing all operations and services for most of the Southern California market. Dave was instrumental in designing the company development strategy to help employees prepare for advancement. He personally facilitates training classes and promotes the use of all available educational resources to foster growth among his team and the company.
Once a varsity baseball player at the University of Southern California, Dave is a huge Trojans fan. His great uncle was Morley Drury, known as the "Noblest Trojan of them all," a 1920’s running back and USC’s 1st ever 1,000-yard rusher. At home in Southern California, Dave and his wife Linda enjoy their rescued labrador ‘Bella’. He also loves his 5 grandchildren as well as fishing, traveling, gardening, and playing an “occasional” round of golf.
Lee Fischer, Vice President of Operations - Lowes
Lee joined DSI Logistics in 2014 and is the Vice President of Operations. Lee’s primary responsibility is overseeing all operations and services for the Lowes home delivery account. Lee’s entire career has been in the transportation, logistics and distribution industry. He entered the delivery business by starting a special commodities trucking company with family members . Lee has held senior positions with Diakon Logistics, Penn Ridge Transportation and Ryder Integrated Logistics.
Lee enjoys spending time with his daughter Alexis and friends made through the years in the industry and abroad. Although not a sports fan, you may find him in Las Vegas during March Madness. Walk up and say “Hello”
Sam Marshall, Vice President of Operations
Sam joined DSI Logistics in 2017 and currently serves as Director of Operations. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Sam has held senior positions at Ryder Last Mile (formerly MXD), CTS Advantage Logistics and Eagle Global Logistics. Sam’s favorite part of his job is teaching, training and mentoring associates.
When he’s not working, Sam enjoys traveling with his wife of 28 years, Kathy. His favorite hobby is hosting family get-togethers with his 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Having grown up in the Bay Area, he is a huge Athletics and 49ers fan. Sam was an accomplished high school football player and was recognized as an All HAAL, All East Bay and All NorCal his senior year. He went on to play college football at Chabot College and Cal State University of Chico.
Roy Wheatley, Regional Director of Operations
Roy joined DSI Logistics in 2006 and is currently the Regional Director of Operations. Roy has spent his entire career with the company and has held numerous supervisory roles. He currently oversees five account managers as part of his area of responsibility.
A graduate of Glendale College in Phoenix, Roy is most proud of being a father to his young family. A committed local area sports fan, he enjoys cheering for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Coyotes. However, he confesses to also rooting for the Tennessee Titans football team, who he watched growing up as the Houston Oilers.
Armando Chavez, Director of Information Technology
Armando joined DSI Logistics in 2006 and currently is the Director of Information Technology. During his tenure with the company he has held numerous roles initially starting as a part-time pre-caller for Mattress Gallery and eventually becoming Operations Supervisor and Assistant Manager. Armando’s responsibilities include overseeing the company’s information technology backbone as well as mapping out the future strategic direction of the firm’s software and call center solutions.
Outside of the office he spends time with his pride and joy, his daughter Abigail, and enjoys sports, talk radio and most of all, helping people succeed.
Maria Padilla, Director of Accounting and Administration
Maria joined DSI Logistics in 2002 and is the company’s Director of Accounting and Administration. Maria oversees the day-to-day activities of the accounting department including monthly financial reporting, hauler delivery team settlements and accounts receivable.
A native of the Los Angeles area, Maria enjoys the outdoors and takes full advantage of the sunny California climate to play tennis, hike and relax by the pool.
Ana Diaz, Human Resource Manager
Ana brings over 18 years of Human Resources experience to DSI Logistics, LLC and currently serves as Human Resources Manager. Prior to joining the DSI Logistics team, Ana provided Human Resources support to manufacturing and janitorial industries, and held roles in payroll, benefit administration, onboarding, and strategic advice to operational managers in the areas of recruitment, mediating union disputes and compensation. As Manager, Ana supports DSI Logistics in their HR processes including performance management, benefit administration, policy and procedure development, and employee engagement. Her areas of expertise include compliance and best practices, wage and hour policies, audit preparations, and employee relations. Ana is committed in encouraging all employees to adhere to DSI Logistics’ Core Values. As a native of the Los Angeles area, Ana loves spending time with her four children, enjoys celebrating birthdays and is a loyal Dodger fan.
